« CLAP CITIZEN CANNES » and his president Laurent CANTET, honorary presidents Catherine and Hélène ZAY, present the PRIZE of the CITIZENSHIP awarded to one of the Official Selection’s film in Cannes International Film Festival which defends with strength and talent, humanism, universalism and laïcité.

The prize was awarded to Capharnaüm, the French-Lebanese film of Nadine LABAKI. It’s the story of a twelve years old kid living in the streets of Beirut in rebellion against adults who fights everyday against poverty and tries to protect his sister. A touching true story reached by a non-professional actor, Zain Al Rafeea, a syrian refugee, spotted in the streets, with an amazing talent.
